Experience
When I found the minor cultural diversity I immediately knew it was the perfect fit for what I wanted. The subjects listed (othering, gender, heteronormativity, queering and decolonial and postcolonial theory and concepts)
The other minors in the line of culture and diversity were just about refugees or about different cultures in the Netherlands. I wanted more than that, there is so much more diversity.

The first class was at the botanical garden. We started with the Taoist face wash, a type of meditation/massage. The purpose was to get all your energy flowing. It really did! I felt so grounded and peaceful after.
After that we went for a walk by ourselves. No talking, just listening and experiencing the gardens.
Then we had to make a map of the favorite places in the park, where were the best smell, touch, taste and sounds. It was fun to do but I also was a little insecure about the map. Then we had to execute the map route with a classmate who is blindfolded. I started off being blindfold and i really liked it. I felt pretty calm and also excited, like you are on an adventure. Because I lost my awareness of my surroundings pretty quick and automatically I imagined where I was walking, what I would be seeing. Blindfolded I also smelled everything way more than I did when I was just walking around. Being the 'leader' when the other person was doing my map blindfolded it was much fun. It was nice I got second so I could copy the things that were helpful to know where you are.
Overall a great day, it was nice to meet everyone outside and be in another setting than a classroom.
